Substantial expertise in the entire drug development chain
A new management team was appointed in 2017 with the remit to establish the optimum conditions to further develop its drug candidates. The company’s in-house expertise has been reinforced, and this expertise is solid throughout the entire value chain, from clinical development to successful registration of drug candidates. The company’s employees have extensive collective experience in preclinical and clinical pharmaceutical drug development, strategic regulatory expertise (regulatory affairs with the FDA, EMA and PMDA), financing and investments (understanding of investors’ demands for a sustainable business), CMC (chemistry manufacturing and control of the active drug substance), planning and project management of clinical studies, purchasing, project management and cooperation with partners such as API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) manufacturers, CROs (contract research organizations) and patenting. Post the acquisition of Rare Thyroid Therapeutics in Q4 2020 (RTT) the company have core expertise in late-stage orphan drug development, registration, and commercialisation including the orphan drug segment.
In addition to expertise and experience, flexibility and good teamwork are needed to successfully carry out complex pharmaceutical drug development. The company’s employees are organized into cross-functional teams that enable a holistic view and greater opportunities to take the development projects all the way to the end.
